DIAS staff and scholars can submit their research publications to DAIR.
Only items for which you hold copyright or which the rights holder has granted you permission can be uploaded to DAIR. For this reason, library staff/repository editors will check the copyright status of an item when it is uploaded to the repository.
Items that were previously published are made available in accordance with the policies of the publisher/copyright holder. An item is only available for open access in DAIR if it complies with the access policy set by the publisher/copyright holder.Publishers’ copyright polices are sourced from:
Items that were not previously published (e.g. theses, discussion and working papers etc.) are made available under Creative Commons.
To help speed up the archiving process you can firstly check copyright yourself. You can learn more about copyright here
While most journal publishers support the right of authors to make their own work available online, the majority do not permit you to use the published version of a paper. Many journal publishers do, however, permit archiving of the accepted version after peer review edits have been incorporated but before any copy editing, branding or formatting changes have been incorporated. We would advise that you should upload this version of a publication to DAIR.
