Abstract

The application of the stochastic rotation operator technique to the calculation of orientational correlation functions is extended so as to allow the calculation of the relaxation times that occur in nuclear-magnetic resonance theory. Explicit expressions are given for times arising from spin-rotational interactions when the relaxing molecule is spherical, linear or a symmetric operator.
